On 18 and 19 June 2025, in Milan, the Turin-based company Ad Astra Innovation & Design presented TrAIcorder: a software medical device that marks a true digital turning point in primary diagnostics. The event caught the attention of Speciale Salute, the health supplement of the major Italian daily La Stampa, which dedicated a full feature page to the technology and its vision.

A 40-second Video Check-Up, without any contact

The heart of TrAIcorder is an extraordinarily simple Video Check-Up: users simply stand about 40 centimetres from a webcam to trigger a simultaneous analysis of over 25 vital, metabolic and psycho-physical parameters. Unlike traditional rapid tests, the experience is entirely non-invasive — no physical contact between operator and patient, no preliminary preparation required.

The values — blood pressure, oxygen saturation, cholesterol, haemoglobin, HbA1c and many more — are displayed in real time on screen and automatically sent to the user via WhatsApp, making the report instantly accessible.

Safety, sustainability and democratising healthcare

TrAIcorder is about far more than convenience. The device eliminates biological risks associated with physical contact and actively contributes to environmental sustainability by drastically reducing the use of plastics, metals and single-use materials typical of traditional diagnostics.

The ambition is broader: to democratise access to healthcare, breaking down economic and geographical barriers to offer fast, accurate prevention to everyone — including the most vulnerable segments of the population. Hospital triage areas, pharmacies, care homes and community clinics are the ideal settings where TrAIcorder's integrated dashboard can organise data, statistics and clinical alerts simply and effectively.

National press recognition

Being featured in a supplement like Speciale Salute of La Stampa is an important sign of maturity and visibility for the project. Recognition from a major national newspaper confirms TrAIcorder's potential as a concrete, scalable solution for the healthcare of the future.
